Here are a series of Bible quotes – spiritual quotes –

God only plants good things in us, so that
good fruit will come out of us (Col 1:5-6).
Jesus says, “No good root produces bad fruit.”

The Parable of the Sower says God
plants good gospel truth into us.
He knows if he plants apple seeds into us,
he won’t raise pumpkins.

Living life legalistically creates despair.
We can’t get it right enough to please God
(Acts 15:10, Rom 3:10).
So he does it for us in the gospel.

1of3. If you read John 16:8-11 carefully and prayerfully, you discover that
the Holy Spirit does not convict BELIEVERS of their sin,
but of their righteousness in Christ (even when they do sin).
It is only those who do not believe in Christ
that he convicts of their sin.

2of3. The Holy Spirit agrees with Jesus. He doesn’t accuse us of sin (John 5:45).
Instead, what he does is manifest Abba Father to us,
and the glory of God and his righteousness that is in us.

3of3. When the Holy Spirit does this, he empowers us
to behave more righteously than we could in our flesh.
The creates greater conformity to Jesus (Rom 8:29),
and greater transformation in our personal lives (Rom 12:1-2).

Preaching the law produces guilt,
which destroys our confidence.
Paul says these preachers don’t know what they
are saying, or the harm they do (I Tim 1:7, Gal 4:17).

We will never understand how we can be made righteous,
without doing things right,
until we first understand that Jesus was made sin,
without doing anything wrong (II Cor 5:21).

A RIDDLE! The law is not of faith (Gal 3:12).
Anything not done in faith is sin (Rom 14:23).
Does this mean that, this side of the cross,
living by the Old Testament law is sin?
Living in A.D. with a B.C. mindset is unbelief.

The Old Testament demands what it can’t produce.
By means of the cross,
the New produces in us what it does not demand.
Minister the New Testament, not the Old (II Cor 3:6).

If both are ministered, it’s like mixing
the blood of animals with the blood of Jesus.
If we live by the Old Testament law, it blinds us to gospel truth.
It puts  a veil over our heart,
creating spiritual darkness in is!  (II Cor 3:14-16)

God sees our human faith in him as
being elementary (Heb 6:1).
We are meant to live by Christ’s faith
if we are to truly live as. . .
“The just who live by faith” (Gal 2:16, 20 KJV).

(This is quoted from the KJV.
This truth has been lost in most MODERN Bibles).

The way of the world says we must WORK
before we REST: labor and then ‘R & R.’
God says to rest in him before we work, and then our work
will be more meaningful, purposeful, and divine.

Most counselors begin by analyzing and attacking the problem.
The gospel speaks to the solution of who we are in Christ.
Living life in the solution tends to shrink the problem.

Good behavior will never produce correct belief.
But correct gospel belief will empower you
and eventually produce good behavior (Col 1:5-6).

Learning how to rest, even while we work hard,
is what brings us into the high places
of answered prayer at God’s throne
of grace and power (Hebrews 4).

The command under the LAW
was to love God with everything we have,
and love others as ourselves.
Everyone failed (Rom 3:10, 23).
In the GOSPEL, we can all succeed because our love
is propelled by God’s love in us (I Jn 4:16).

Continued from above:
In the gospel the focus is on God’s love for us,
in spite of ourselves.
It is only by experiencing his love,
even when we are not loveable,
that we can more readily share God’s love with others.

Paul was chosen over Jesus’ disciples
to receive gospel revelation.
God chose him for our benefit.
The others were too close to Jesus.
They walked and talked with him.
Paul had to receive revelation by faith
just like you and I must receive it.

Jesus says his way is easy (Mat 11:28),
and his way is abundant life (Jn 10:10).
Why do so many of us struggle spiritually,
buried under piles of ‘religious DO-DO,’
pridefully trying to live a life
everyone else failed at living (Acts 15:10, Rom 3:10)?

Life is a journey, not a destination.
But Christians know their destination is secure,
so they are better equipped to enjoy the journey.

Go to sleep with GOD on your mind,
not the depressing late-night NEWS.
Whatever you have allowed into you is what
your subconscious thinks about all night long.

What is ‘CAT AND DOG THEOLOGY’?
It is 2 ways of seeing the same thing:
(1) God’s way, and (2) our way.
To cat lovers: try to see the obvious!

Dogs say: “You feed me. You love me.
You play with me. You care for me.
You groom me. YOU must be God!
You’re fantastic! I love YOU!”

Cats say: “You feed me. You love me.
You play with me. You care for me.
You groom me. I must be God!
I’m fantastic! I love ME!”

See the obvious: Dogs focus on GOD, cats on SELF.
The gospel is about GOD. Religion is about SELF.
Are you God lover or a self lover?

Law always begins with US:
“YOU love God with all your heart, mind, soul & strength.
Then love others as yourself.” (Matt 22:37-39).
When Jesus spoke the last statement
he was NOT preaching the gospel.
We’re told he was responding to a TRICK question
from a LAWYER about the LAW.

The gospel always begins with GOD:
“Here’s the NEW command: Love others…
AS I HAVE LOVED YOU.”
It all begins with him (John 13:34, 15:12).

Humans can’t love with God’s love.
Jesus says (1) receive HIS love,
and then (2) Give away ‘USED LOVE’:
his love for us we receive and use first (I Th 3:12).

RELIGION condemns others
who behave badly like we often do.
GOSPEL life is loving and accepting others
because God loves and accepts us.

Life always happens NOW, impacted by the past & future.
Grab it!
Yesterday is a cancelled check.
Tomorrow is a promissory note.
Today is cash. Spend it!

To give birth to God in you,
die to yourself (Lk 9:23, Gal 2:20).
In SELF, we die with many umbilical cords
wrapped around us, not just one.

Many modern Bibles translate the GOSPEL
as being ‘good news’:
news  about something past (the cross),
that is good, empowering & beneficial to us.

Positive confession is saying what we want,
CLAIMING it to be so.
Gospel profession is saying what God says,
KNOWING it is true (Heb 10:26).

The windows of heaven are for God to pour out
blessings upon us until there is no more room
for us to receive them (Mal 3:10).
We have ALL blessings in Christ (Eph 1:4).

If we struggle to DO good to GET good from God,
we get buried in mud.
We can’t GIVE enough to impress God (Rom 11:35).
God is impressed with Jesus,
and he wants us to be impressed with him too.

God loves us and blesses us out of our socks
with everything he has.
But we die never knowing this
if we don’t see with gospel eyes.
We must see it: our job is simply to RECEIVE.
Thus Jesus says, “My way is easy.”
